Mike Kokes, 60, of Kersey, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
He was born December 5, 1955 to Glen & Vivian (Callies) Kokes in Sidney, Nebraska. He graduated from Crook/Caliche High School in 1974. In 1984 he moved to Kersey, Colorado where he worked as a welder in Northeastern Colorado for over 35 years. He was a hardworking and caring man who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family more than anything.
He is survived by his daughter, Julia Kokes of Colorado Springs, CO, brothers, Paul Kokes of New Castle, WY, and Alvin Burkhart of Greeley, CO, sisters, Marteena Ring of Crook, CO, Kelley Kokes Rothleutner of Longmont, CO, and Carol Kokes Babcock of Kansas City, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Kokes and Vivian Buttle and a brother, John Kokes.
A memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Crook Community Center/Firehall in Crook, Colorado.
