Milton Eugene Starr, 78, of Greeley, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021.
Milton was born in Woodland, California on April 27, 1943, to Norma Jean Starr and Robert Eugene Starr. He joined the United States Navy in 1961 before being honorably discharged due to an injury. He worked for many years at local gas stations and started a family when he married his former wife, Edith, on May 6, 1967. He later went on to work as a guard at Northern Armored Service in Greeley.
Milton loved spending time with his family and smoking buddies and enjoyed playing video games. He especially loved the video game series, The Legend of Zelda. He spent most of his free time in his youth fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
Milton is survived by his sons, James Starr of Greeley, and Gene (Luna) Hamilton of Phoenix; His sisters, Mary McDonald, Rose Lightcap, and Esther Rumpf; His brother, Robert Starr Jr.; and sister-in-law, Lois (David) Raehal. He is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Milton was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as former wife, Edith Virginia Winters; his daughter, Gidgett Marie Starr; and siblings, Mona Babbitt, Christina Starr, and Wanda Starr.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave, Greeley, CO 80631.
