Morris L. Reid, 60, of Greeley, Colorado formerly of Palm Bay, Florida, died on Wednsesday, February 8, 2006 at the North Colorado Medical Center after a short battle with cancer.
Morris was born on December 16, 1945 in Joplin, Missouri to Charles Morris and Phyllis (Jones) Reid.
He married Laurie Lebeda on June 7, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mr. Reid graduated from Lakewood High School and later completed the 4 year carpenter apprentice program in Colorado. He worked as a carpenter for 15 years and later worked as a plans examiner & building inspector until his health would no longer allow it. He was a member of the Building Officials Association of Florida and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He loved to hunt, fish and ride motorcycles. Morris and Laurie lived in the Greeley area prior to moving to Palm Bay, Florida in 1993. They recently returned to Greeley to be with family.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie Reid of Greeley; a son and his wife, Kevin and Jessica Reid of Greeley; a daughter and her husband, Rhonda and David Foxx of West Milton, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; his mother, Phyllis Reid of Lakewood, Colorado and a sister and her husband, Charlene & Reuben Reffel of Nathrop, Colorado. His is preceded in death by his father, Charles Reid and a son, Russell Reid.
A memorial service to celebrate Morris' life will be held at 300 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15th at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue.
