Myrtle E. Reynolds, 95 of Evans died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Gray Cara West assisted living in Evans, Co. She was born May 30, 1914 to Carl John and Ida Matilda (Stroberg) Peterson. On December 23, 1936, she married Everett C. Reynolds in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away March 13, 1999. Myrtle was a life-long resident of the Gill/Greeley areas. She graduated from Gill High School and she attended Greeley Commercial College. Myrtle served the Lord as a homemaker, taught Sunday school, and sang in the church choir. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greeley. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Myrtle enjoyed playing traditional Lutheran hymns on the piano, painting ceramics, bowling and sports. Her joy was being with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren watching them grow up with love for the Lord. Myrtle served as caregiver for her husband, Everett, during the last years of his life. Myrtle is survived by the two sons Robert L. (Elsa Mae) of Greeley and Allen E. (Lynda) of Eaton; six grandchildren Brian Reynolds, LTC Daniel Reynolds, Dr. Sarah Mills, DVM, James Reynolds, Nathan Reynolds, and Jon Reynolds; and ten great-grand children. She was preceded in death by son Roger Reynolds, grandson David Reynolds, two sisters, Gertrude Anderson and Edna Schroeder; and four brothers Harold, Leonard, Oscar and Raymond. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church.
