Nola Faye Standen, 78, of Greeley passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Swedish Medical Center in Denver.
She was born on April 17, 1937 in Yuma, Colorado to Truman R. and Opal V. (Smith) Prather.
Nola graduated from Yuma High School. She married Robert Earl Standen on December 16, 1955 in Yuma. He passed away on November 4, 2008.
Mrs. Standen worked for the Cloverleaf Dog Track for 20 years and later Wester Sugar. She worked at the Greeley Mall from 1992 until 2010 as a hostess at the information booth. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. She enjoyed family get togethers, spending time with family at their cabin, cross stitch for the grandchildren and good times with friends.
Survivors include her son, Robert Standen and wife Kristin; 4 daughters, Pamela Standen and partner Liane Emerson, Mindy Heiden & husband Mike, Lynne Judish and husband Anthony and Laurie Downs and husband Gary; 3 brothers, Raymond Prather and wife Jean, Robert Prather and wife Jeanette and Melvin Prather; 3 sisters, JoAnn Werner and husband Les, Kate Smith and Shirley Stephens; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Robert Standen, she is preceded in death by a sister, Carol Imhof, 3 brothers in law, Clifford Smith, Dick Stephens and Bernard Imhof and a sister in law, Barbara Prather.
Funeral services to celebrate Nola’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Crossroads Christian Church, 3451 23rd Avenue in Evans. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
