Orville D. Herman, 77, of Greeley, died on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born on August 14, 1929 in Ft. Collins, Colorado to David and Elizabeth (Hahn) Herman. Orville graduated from Ft. Collins High School and he later attended trade school in Denver. Mr. Herman married E. Louise (Blackwill) Reighter in Greeley in 1970. His first marriage was to Margery Ann Dowell Farmer in 1949. He owned and operated his own business, Centralized Service appliance sales and service from 1966 until 1993 in Greeley. Prior to that, he was the appliance supervisor at Sears for 15 years and worked for Montgomery Wards before that. Survivors include his wife, Louise Herman of Greeley; 2 daughters, Jeanne Wightman and Vickie Crombie both of Juneau, Alaska; 2 step daughters, Jeanette Troudt of LaSalle, Colorado and Cynthia Reighter of Denver, Colorado; 4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and 2 nieces, Kay Karlson of Anaheim, California and Barbara Schneider of Boulder, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Redell Schneider. A memorial service to celebrate Orville's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue.
