Pamela Rose Forster, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Nana, dear friend, and faithful servant of God, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Briggsdale, Colorado, on July 6, 2025, at the age of 69. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Born on August 15, 1955, in Wray, Colorado, to Allen and Alyce Gross, Pam was raised in a loving home and attended school in Galeton and Eaton. She was an active student, participating in band and the swim team, and graduated from Eaton High School in 1974. She went on to earn an associate's degree from Aims Community College.
On February 12, 1977, Pam married the love of her life, Donald Forster, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Together they shared 48 years of marriage built on faith, laughter, and an unbreakable bond. They raised two sons, John and Mike, and poured their hearts into building a life rooted in family.
Pam began her professional life as a bookkeeper for her parents' business, A&A Janitorial. As her children grew, she took on roles that allowed her to remain close to them—first as a school bus driver for the Platte Valley School District and later as a route driver for the City of Greeley. In retirement, she embraced the role that brought her the most joy: being "Nana." She dedicated her days to her grandchildren, attending their activities, celebrating their milestones, and loving them fiercely.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Donald; her sons John (Gwen) and Mike (Heather); her sister Barb and sister-in-law Lisa Gross; and her six cherished grandchildren: Harley, Jonathen, Alana, Faith, Johnny, and Ezekiel. She was preceded in death by her father Allen, mother Alyce, brothers Gary and Randy Gross, and brother-in-law Elvin Patten.
Family was the heart of Pam's life. She was a devoted mother, "Aunt Pammy" to many, a tireless supporter at school functions, sporting events, and family gatherings. From camping trips to driving activity buses just to be present, she never missed a moment when it came to those she loved. Pam also loved traveling to new places and sightseeing, which was mostly done riding her motorcycle. Her life was a living example of selflessness, strength, and joy.
Beyond her family, Pam was a dear and trusted friend to many. She offered wise counsel, a listening ear, and steady support to those who needed her. Her friendships were deep, lasting, and filled with loyalty and love—just like everything she did.
Pam will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her fierce commitment to family, her unshakable work ethic, and the faith that guided every step of her journey. Her legacy is one of love, presence, and quiet strength.
