Patricia J. "Pat" Ingalls, 73 of Greeley, Colorado died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. She was born on February 23, 1937 in Greeley to Arthur and Helen (Griffin) Forbes. Pat married Earl J. Ingalls on November 23, 1957 in Greeley at the United Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1954. She later went on to attend Western State College in Gunnison where she earned her Bachelor's & Masters degrees and also did her Doctoral study there. She taught for the Grand County school system and also taught first grade at Fraser Elementary School. She was a past member of the United Church of Christ in Hayden, Colorado. She lived in Florence, Arizona from 1997 until 2007 until moving to Greeley where she lived at the Life Care Center. Survivors include her son, Douglas Ingalls of Peyton, Colorado; a step son, Richard Ingalls of El Dorado, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Alan, Andrew and Austin Carrick; 3 brothers, Colin Forbes of Ballwin, Missouri, George (Ethel) Forbes of Conroe, Texas and Jim (Patti) Forbes of Lakewood, Colorado; 3 sisters, Helen Stephanson of Columbus, Ohio, Frances (Larry) Becker of Greeley and Shirley Forbes of Greeley; 2 sisters in law, Donnis Forbes of Arvada and Ruby Forbes of Arvada. She is preceded in death by her husband , Earl J. Ingalls, a daughter, Diana J. Carrick, a son, Timothy Ingalls; her parents, Arthur & Helen Forbes, 2 sisters, Margaret and Virginia Forbes and 3 brothers, Bill, Alan and Don Forbes. A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1321 9th Avenue in Greeley.
