Mrs. Patricia Ruth Miller, 69 of Walsenburg, Colorado formerly of Greeley, Colorado died on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient in Greeley. She was born on March 7, 1939 in Hardin, Illinois to Harold and Mable (Hamner) Drummond. In 1957 she graduated from Pleasant Hills High School in Pleasant Hills, Illinois. She later attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. In 1960 she moved to Longmont, Colorado. Patricia married Galen L. Miller on April 14, 1960. They lived in Longmont until 1980 when they moved to Greeley. The couple moved to Walsenburg in 2006 from Greeley. Mrs. Miller enjoyed traveling and camping. Patricia and Galen were members of The Millennium mavericks, Goodtimers WEI and the Runaways camping clubs. She enjoyed the social aspect of these clubs and the friends that she made there were like extended family to her. She was most proud of her family and was known as a loving wife, mother and grandma. She taught all of her children and grandchildren how to fish and she loved gardening. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Galen Miller of Walsenburg; a daughter and her husband, Teri and Russ Segelke of Greeley; 2 sons, Christopher Miller of Walsenburg and Ron Miller and his fiancé, Tammy McNitt both of Westminster; her grandchildren, Nate & Jeremy Segelke of Greeley, Tyler Miller of Westminster and Jordan Meade-Miller of Walsenburg; a special cousin, Judy Hurt of Macomb, Illinois; 2 nieces, Linda Morris of Greeley and Lisa Pauley and her husband Jeff of Berthoud; 2 nephews, Bill Grove and his wife Kay of Longmont and Jerry Grove and his wife Patti of Longmont; sister's in law, Lois Treber of Grand Junction and Janet Daggett and her husband Ron of Ft. Collins and brother's in law, Wayne Miller and his wife Norma of Westminster and Cliff Miller and his wife Roxanne of Lakewood. She is preceded in death by a her parents, Harold and Mable Drummond; a son, Timothy Dale Miller; a sister and brother in law, Heraldine and Wesley Grove; a nephew, Tommie Grove and 2 aunts, Louise Myers and Charlene Nason. A memorial service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Memorial gifts may be made to the Patricia Miller Memorial Fund to be used for a charity to be decided later.
