Patsy Kay (Leaf) Stewart, 65 of Eaton, went to her Heavenly home to meet our Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2014, after fighting a long battle with cancer. She passed away at her home, surrounded by family and dear friends. She was born on April 28, 1948 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Claude and Reena (Davis) Leaf. Patsy graduated from Highland High School in 1966. She married Larry Stewart, Jr. on July 9, 1967 in Pierce, Colorado, at the Methodist Church. Mrs. Stewart taught at Highland Elementary School in Pierce as a Special Ed Para for 21 years, where she shared her amazing gift with so many children. In her free time, she loved to spend time with her family, who was so deeply blessed to have her in their lives. She also enjoyed sewing beautiful blankets, gardening, and cooking delicious food. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Larry Stewart of Eaton; her mother, Reena Davis Leaf of Pierce; 2 daughters and their husbands, Shelly Kay and Micheal Wight and Krystal Kay and Jeremiah Holladay; a son, Lawrence Everett Stewart, III and wife Rebecca; 2 brothers, Dean Franklin Leaf and Claude Melvin Leaf, Jr.; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Melvin Leaf and an infant brother, Timothy Leaf. A memorial service to celebrate Patsy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Evangelical Free Church, 1325 3rd Street in Eaton.
