Obituary

Paul V Forman, 102, of LaSalle died peacefully at his home February 1, 2024.
He was born January 2, 1922 to Earnest and Iva Forman on the family farm outside Holbrook, Nebraska.
He attended school and graduated from high school at Holbrook in 1940. He farmed with his father until he married Patricia L. Kuhlman from Cambridge, Nebraska on October 29, 1943. They continued farming until moving to Colorado in 1950.
He worked construction for 10 years on highway and Dam projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming including, Horsetooth Reservoir, Glendo Dam, Boulder Turnpike, and Willow Creek Dam.
In 1959 they settled in Evans and LaSalle so Pattie could go to College to get her teaching degree. They raised 6 children in LaSalle. Paul worked for Western Construction and Hall-Irwin Construction until he formed Forman's Backhoe Service in 1969. He worked with many plumbers, contractors, and concrete companies with his son Neil.
In the years prior to his wife's passing in 2000, they were Arizona snow birds where they square danced regularly. In Colorado he enjoyed the Greeley Senior Center playing pool and the Senior Games.
In 2002 he was in Nebraska for his High School reunion when he reconnected with former classmate Evelyn Meyers. The two enjoyed each other's company for the next 15 years. After Evelyn's passing the two families remain close.
Surviving are 4 daughters- Marilynn (Ron) Yockey, Linda (Gary) Jelinek, Lana (Paul) Poppe, and Deb (John) Buffington and 2 sons- Neil (Norma) and Mark, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are his parents, brother Lester and sister Esther.
