Obituary

Paul Henry Gregory, 86, was born on Sept. 8, 1927, in Arcadia, Neb and passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 in Eaton. Paul was born to William H. and Verna (Butterfield) Gregory at the family home. He grew up and attended school in Arcadia before joining the United States Navy in 1945 at the age of 18. He was honorably discharged in 1947 and returned to drive truck for Mason Ford Motors before owning a restrauant in Arcadia. Paul was united in marriage to Doris Welty on May 28, 1950 and to this union three children were born, Paulette Sue, Ricky Lynn and Debra Dawn. He is survived by his wife Doris of Eaton; children and spouses, Paulette (Dennis) Schoenfeld of Highlands Ranch, Rick (Penny) Gregory of Eaton, Debra (Bill) Lawhead of Henderson; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Corinne Paben of Kearney, Neb., brother-in-law, Max Welty of Ft. Collins; sister-in-law, Jean Gregory of Loup City, Neb., Bethel Gregory of Grand Junction, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty; three brothers, Gilbert, Boyd and Beryl. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29th at the Evangelical Free Church in Eaton with Pastor David McNeff of First Congregational Church of Eaton/Ault officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Eaton/Ault in Paul's name.
