Paula Sue Hanson, 55 of Greeley, Colorado, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit. She was born on February 6, 1956 in Fairfield, Iowa, to Leonard and Helen (Dalbey) Howe. She was raised in Fairfield until the family moved to Humboldt, Minnesota, in 1968. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1977 and later moved to Hallock, Minnesota, in 1978. She worked for many years for the Kittson Memorial Health Care Center in Hallock until moving to Greeley in 2008. Paula was a past member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hallock and was currently a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greeley. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Sue Hanson of Binford, North Dakota; her mother, H. Jeannine Howe of Greeley; her sister, Janis Bowman and husband Byron of Greeley; 2 brothers, Joe Howe of Gardner Kansas and Charles Howe and wife, Olivia of Imperial, California; nephews and nieces, Kari Biesendorfer of Westminster, Colorado, Jason and Jeremy Bowman both of Greeley, Derek and Diana Howe both of Imperial and Tracy and Kristen Howe of Gardner and great niece and nephew, Zorah Biesendorfer of Westminster and Christian Brann of Gardner, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Howe. A memorial service to celebrate Paula's life was held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel in Evans, Colorado.
