Percy P. Odenbaugh, 79 of Platteville, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Percy was born on August 2, 1937 in Platteville to Peter and Christina Odenbaugh. He graduated from Platteville High School in 1955. He lived and farmed on the family dairy farm in the Platteville area for his entire life and he served as a volunteer for the Platteville Fire Department.
Mr. Odenbaugh married Carol L. Schissler on September 24, 1958 in Boulder. He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Platteville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. After his retirement he liked to travel. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a joy to him.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Odenbaugh of Platteville; his son, Jeff Odenbaugh of Westfield, Indiana; his daughter, Laura Thomas of Platteville; 2 sisters, Luella Reese of Greeley and Phyllis Margheim of Platteville; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Connie, an infant son, 6 brothers, Paul, Stanley, Cullen, Norman, Leroy and Pete Odenbaugh and 2 sisters, Shirley Schissler and Leona Jones.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Platteville, 316 Elizabeth Street in Platteville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Interment Mizpah Cemetery.
