Pete Salazar Jr., 47, of Greeley, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the North Colorado Medical Center.
He was born on December 31, 1965 in Greeley to Pete and Shirley (Rivera) Salazar. He grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1984. He married Deborah Flores on February 8, 1985 in Greeley. They later divorced. He attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church as a child.
Pete loved to play bingo and went with his mother Shirley. He loved to ride his Harley. He was a very good mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and repairing them. He loved to spend time with his family especially his sons and grandchildren. He loved to tease and joke with people. Pete also enjoyed boxing when he was a young man.
Pete is survived by his sons: Pete Salazar III and Justin Salazar; parents, Shirley and Pete Salazar; sister Tammy Salazar and brother Anthony Salazar all of Greeley and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dominic Salazar and one brother, Chris.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue. Recitation of Rosary 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment Eaton Cemetery.
