Peter Anthony Torrez, 37, of Greeley, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at his home in Greeley.
Peter was born August 6, 1974 to Pete Torrez, Jr. and Judy Garcia in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1992 and moved to Greeley in 2006. On May 23, 2009, he married Patricia Zamora in Fort Lupton. Peter loved to cook and work in his garden and was a big Bronco’s and Nuggets fan.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Torrez, of Greeley, his parents, Pete & Judy Torrez, of Fort Lupton, his son, Anthony Torrez, his daughters, Jazmine & Tatiana Torrez, his brother, Derek Torrez and wife Adriana of Fort Lupton, his sisters, Cassandra Torrez of Fort Lupton, Acacia Torrez of Brighton, and Jaquina McAlevey-Torrez, of Johnstown, his grandparents, Pete Torrez, Sr. and Jacqueline Torrez of Greeley, his mother & father in law, Jimmy & Selia Zamora, of Platteville, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Garcia and grandmother in law, Lucille Zamora.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from Noon to 4 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado, and then again from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the St. William Catholic Church, 1025 Fulton Ave., Fort Lupton, Colorado. Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12th at the St. William Catholic Church in Fort Lupton. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton.
