Pete Martinez, Sr., 64, of Greeley, passed away, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at his home.

Pete was born on April 5, 1958, in Mora, New Mexico to Tiburcio and Viola (Rodarte) Martinez. He grew up and received his education in Greeley, graduating from Greeley Central High School.

Pete worked for State Farm, Kodak, Northern Colorado Traffic Control and in construction.

He enjoyed woodworking, coaching, boxing and loved the Denver Broncos.

He is survived by his mother, Viola Martinez; sons, Pete (Kalie) Martinez, Jr. of Eaton, Kenny (Celia) Martinez of Henderson, Matt Jaramillo of Fort Collins; daughter, Ericka (Chris) Chavez of Arizona; eight grandchildren; brothers, Mike Martinez, Frank Martinez, Fred Martinez, Joe Martinez, Barney Martinez; sisters, Teresa Sanchez, Angela Sanchez, Margie Ventura; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tiburcio Bernardo Martinez; sisters, Carla Martinez and Pauline Martinez; and brother, John Martinez.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Aug. 24th from 4-7 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greeley. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
