Phyllis June Derr, 79, of Pierce passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Fairacres Manor in Greeley.

She was born June 20, 1938 in Windsor, Colorado to Phillip & Lydia (Weinmeister) Brug. She spent her childhood in Windsor. On January 12, 1957, she married Arden W. Derr. They lived and farmed east of Ault until 1980. They then moved to Pierce and farmed in Galeton until Arden passed away in 2002.

Phyllis was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Kim), Alan, Steve (Joan) and Dean (Jill) Derr, a daughter, Carrie (David) Snyder of Texas, sisters, Sandy Brug and Kathy Moore, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Lydia Brug, her husband Arden, and a son, Jeff Derr.

A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A private family inurnment will be at Windsor Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Ault Fire Department in care of Moser Funeral Service.
