Rachel Taylor Feb 28, 1921 - Mar 19,2010 Residence - Greeley Age: 89 Rachel Taylor was born February 28, 1921 to George Henry Rusch and Anna Elizabeth (Schmidt) Rusch in Barnesville Colorado. During her childhood, her parents farmed throughout Weld County. She attended Ault, Galeton, and Hazelton Schools. She was very proud of having completed the confirmation requirements at St Paul's Congregational Church in Greeley in 1936. She sang German songs on the Buzz Hoover radio program. Rachel married Floyd M. Taylor on April 8, 1939. They had two children, Peggy and Patti, Floyd passed away on September 14, 1944. Rachel then married Claude W. Taylor on November 9, 1945. They had three children Robert, David and Sandy. They lived in the Eaton/Ault area until 1968 when they moved to Greeley. Rachel worked at Budd's Redi Fry, Wright McGill, Meyers Hatchery, and Coors Food Chip Factory. She retired in 1985. Rachel enjoyed gardening and short rides through the country and playing softball. She was an avid Bronco and Rockies fan, and she enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching the young children play in the park; visiting with her neighbors and her grandchildren. She liked updating her family tree book and attending annual family reunions held at local parks. Survivors include, her children Peggy Adkisson-Luna and husband (Bill), David Taylor both of Greeley, Patti Hirsch of Goodyear, Az, Robert (Barbara) Taylor of Windsor, Sandy (Ron) Millner of Loveland. Grand children include Kim (Matt) Eisele, Roxie (Gene) Duggan, Katriesa (Pat) Hojio, Brian (Tara) Taylor, Jennifer Balderas, and Bradley (Valerie) Millner. Rachel left behind 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Alma Borgens, Esther Pye. Margie Schneider, and 1 brother Albert Rusch, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her grandson Mike Adkisson, and her granddaughter Pamela Chavez, as well as 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel in Evans. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Moser Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Eaton Cemetery.
