Raymond F. Curtis, 76, of Windsor, formerly of Eaton, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Longmont United Hospital in Longmont. Ray was born December 19, 1935 to Roy T. and Evelyn C. (Koehn) Curtis in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Adams City High School in Commerce City. On June 24, 1956, he married Marlane Hoffman in Denver, Colorado. Ray and Marlane lived in Eaton from 1987 until they moved to Windsor in 2009. Ray and Marlane owned and operated Eaton Hitch & RV for 24 years. Ray was very involved in the Eaton community as a member of the Eaton Historical Society, as a member of the Eaton Chamber of Commerce and a past president. He also was involved in organizing Eaton Days and Eaton's 100 year Celebration. Ray is survived by his wife, Marlane Curtis, a son, Tom Curtis of Windsor, and his brother, Ralph Curtis of Bagdad, Florida, as well as 2 grandchildren, Audra Nauda & husband Mike and Zach Curtis and wife Joey and 4 great grandchildren, Kadence and Kolten Nauta and Timothy and Matthew Curtis. He is preceded by his parents, Roy T. and Evelyn, a son Timothy, and a brother, Ron Curtis. A memorial service to celebrate Ray's life will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street in Eaton. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
