Rebecca Castillo Anderson, 70, of Greeley, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016.

Rebecca was born on Aug. 18, 1946, in Wauseon, Ohio to Juan and Mercedes (Paez) Castillo. As a child, the family moved to Northern Colorado where she graduated from Greeley High School in 1964.

She was united in marriage to Leo Velasquez in 1969 and to this union, two children were born. They were later divorced. She worked in clerical for various area business.

Rebecca’s greatest love was caring for her family. She also enjoyed ceramics, scrapbooking and crosswords. She loved her cats.

She is survived by her children, Paul Anderson of Milliken; daughter, Nicole Pieper of Greeley; three grandchildren, Tyler, Blake and Ashley Pieper; brothers, Otilo (Gloria) Castillo of Greeley, Reymond (Esther) Castillo of Evans, John Castillo of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Maria (Leroy) Andrade of Greeley, Beatriz (John) Bermudez of Los Angeles, CA, Eileen Castillo of Greeley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two sisters.

A Rosary will be held 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley.
