Rex Leroy "Buck" Rowe Jr., 54 of Greeley, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at his home. Buck was born on November 18, 1955 in Ottawa, Kansas to Rex and Joan (Scott) Rowe. In 1963 he moved with his family to Colorado. He attended elementary school in Westminster, Colorado and high school at Northglenn, Colorado. Less than a year out of high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and had assignments in Florida, Adak Island in Alaska and the Skaggs Island Naval Base near Napa, California. After his service in the Navy, Buck returned to Greeley, Colorado. Over the years he was employed at Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Weld School District 6 and the American Red Cross. His hobbies were military history and international cooking. He loved his cats and they were his kids. Survivors include his wife, Elann Hamilton; his mother, Joan L. White and his father, Rex Rowe Sr. & his wife Flora; 2 brothers, his twin brother Keith Rowe & his wife Donna & Richard Rowe & his wife Jeanne; his mother and father in law, Howard & Elna Hamilton; 2 step sisters, Laurie Dill & her husband Ken and Mary Larson & her husband Jeremiah; a step brother, Robb Wickstrom; 2 sisters in law, Danneen Hamilton and Janae Skeels & her husband Larry and their sons, Ross and Reegan; a brother in law, Daylan Hamilton and his wife Leah and their son, Grant and daughter, Jordyn and a niece, Celeste. A memorial service to celebrate Buck's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel in Evans. Inurnment Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
