Richard Ellis Warehime, 78, of Evans, passed into eternal life on Nov. 30, 2016. He was born May 23, 1938, in Snyder, Colo., to Arthur J. and Grace (Reynolds) Warehime. The family moved to the BeeBee Draw Community; he later attended Meeker Junior High and graduated from Greeley Central High.

He worked at the Johnstown Sugar Factory before being drafted in the Army. His tour of duty took him to Germany for two years where he was discharged in 1963. He worked several jobs including years driving a truck with his older brothers before working for Hoke Construction and owning his own company called Rocky Mountain Construction.

He spent many years involved with Royal Ranger Program at First Assembly of God Church and was a member of the National Frontiersmen Fellowship. He enjoyed camping, traveling and fishing. He was one of the founders of the Colorado Blizzards and Search and Rescue while being involved in snowmobiling with family and friends as he enjoyed the outdoors. Later years, he found enjoyment joining his friends at the coffee shop and joking around.

Richard is survived by children, Brent Warehime, Greeley, Weston (Jane) McCary-Warehime, Kansas; Shelia (Frank) Nye, Idaho, DeAnn Hopla, Idaho; his wife of many years, Rae Warehime, Greeley; brothers, Stanley Warehime, California, Blair Warehime, Arizona, and Harold Warehime, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at First Assembly of God Church, 3000 W. 16th Street, Greeley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church for the Royal Ranger Program.
