Rick Smith of Evans, Colorado began his new life journey on Sunday, May 10, 2015.

He was born on April 7, 1953 in Greeley, Colorado. He attended Greeley West High School and later enlisted in the Navy. He was there only a very short time before receiving an Honorable Medical Discharge. Rick married Brenda Keck and lived in Indiana for several years. After their separation he returned to Greeley and worked in the electrical department as a sales associate for The Home Depot. He loved to grill, listen to 70’s music, and watch old TV shows such as Bonanza, Walker Texas Ranger, and Gunsmoke. “Just kickin’ back” as he would say. He was very much a 70’s child and spent his life living in that era. He was very mischievous and had the silliest grin when he thought he was pulling something over on someone. We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time. Love and miss you always Rick.

Survivors: His mother Joann Smith, sister Jamie Askvig, and brother Ron (Debbie) Smith, all of Greeley. Also brother Rory Smith of Evans. Niece’s Jessica (Kevin) Reid, Stacey (Tre) James, Amy Smith and Christina Smith. Nephew Dave (Ranee) Smith. Also survived by a dear, longtime friend, Judy Magur Mavroleon of Atascadero, CA. Inurnment: Graveside service on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 28th St. Greeley.
