Robert "Bob" Harold Dyer, 83 of Greeley passed away July 3, 2011 at his home. Bob was born March 10, 1928 at home on the family farm east of Galeton, to Coral & Hattie Dyer. He grew up on this farm, graduated from Galeton, and then served two years in the United States Navy. In June of this year he went on the honor flight to Washington, D.C.. Mr. Dyer married Phyllis Smith of Greeley on January 1, 1950 and they farmed in the Galeton area for 48 years before retiring to Greeley. Bob never knew a stranger. He had a lifelong love of old cars and enjoyed going to the farm to check how the crops were doing. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife Phyllis; 2 daughters, Elaine & Paul Olson of Boise, Idaho and Paula & Doug Dutton of Longmont; 2 sons Dave & Janice Dyer and Steven Dyer all of Eaton; grandchildren include, Justin Dyer Anderson, Joshua Olson, Rachel (Olson) Davidson, Michael Dutton, Melissa Dutton, Tyler Dyer, Landon Dyer, Carly Dyer, Ashley Dyer and Makayla Dyer and two great grandchildren, Ashton & Owen Dutton. Bob also has two sisters Reba Siegriest and Bernice Groves both of Eaton. He is preceded in death by his oldest son Jerry Dyer. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7th at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 8th at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street in Eaton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton or to The Gideon's International.
