Robert D. “Wheaties” Taylor, 79 of Ault passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Centennial Heath Care in Greeley.

He was born February 28, 1938 to Alvin F. & Gladys M. (Watkins) Taylor in Eaton, Colorado. Bob grew up in Ault, Colorado and graduated from Ault High School in 1955.

He served in the United States Army for 2 years. Bob married three times and had three children from two of the marriages. He worked in various jobs in the agricultural field. In his later years, he worked as a tour bus driver for many years later a truck driver in the oil field.

Survivors include his siblings: Virginia (Bob) Dellinger of Scottsdale, AZ, James (Barbara) Taylor of Colorado Springs, Ernest (Flo) Taylor of Barstow, CA, John (Judy) Taylor of Evans, Linda (Dean) Chambers of Vail, AZ, and Diana (Tony) Mathias of Greeley, numerous nieces and nephews and his friend Aleta Gomez.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Alvin L. and Thomas N. Taylor and a sister, Frances I. Thomas.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado.
