NEILSON Robin Neilson, 53, of Menifee, California and previously of Riverside and Moreno Valley, died on Monday, November 28, 2005 in Greeley, Colorado.
She was born on September 13, 1952 in Ontario, California to Samuel and Miriam(Havener) Neilson.
Robin graduated from the Moreno Valley High School. She earned a BA in education from United States International University in San Diego and Mexico City. She earned a Masters Degree in bi-lingual education from the Southern University of Illinois. She specialized in and devoted her life's energies to the early education of bilingual students. She taught for 30 years in school districts in Indio, Corona & Menifee, California. She served in the Peace Corps in South America in 1974.
Survivors include a sister, Tammy DiDio of Sarasota, Florida; 2 brothers, Mike DiDio & his wife Cheryl of Greeley, Colorado and Steve Jackman of Edgemont, California; 3 daughters, Rosa Tafolla of Los Angeles, California, Vivian Edmonds of Woodbridge, Virginia and Darla Tafolla of Hemet, California; 2 grandchildren, Landon & David Edmonds and 3 nieces and nephews, California Bonham, Lancaster Roberts and Bo DiDio. She is preceded in death by her father Samuel Neilson in 1983, a son Andreas Nielson in 1989 and her mother, Miriam DiDio in 2004.
A graveside service to celebrate Robin's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2nd at the Olivewood Memorial Park in Riverside, California.
