Roger D. Troudt, 62, of Greeley, died on Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit.
He was born on April 3, 1944 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Albert E. and Emma (Gorr) Troudt.
Roger's family moved to Colorado when he was only 10 months old. He has lived and farmed in the Greeley area for most of his life. He had produced award winning yields of corn many times throughout the years.
Roger graduated from the Highland High School in Ault in 1962. While at Highland High School he played football and ran track and field. He held many track and field records some of which stood until recently. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Troudt was a member of the Greeley Moose Lodge and was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan. He had many business acquaintances and friends in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area.
Survivors include his wife, Memory Troudt of Greeley; his mother, Emma Troudt of Greeley; a son and his wife, Mark R. and Deborah Troudt of Broomfield, Colorado; 2 grandchildren, Danielle Troudt and Kyle Troudt; a daughter, LouAnn Lebofsky of Highlands Ranch, Colorado a brother and his wife, Marvin and Joanne Troudt of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; a special aunt & uncle, Edna Mae and Clarence Troudt of Greeley. a step daughter, Tyffani Peters of Santa Rosa, California; a step son and his wife, Chad and Sandy Peters of Denver, Colorado and 2 step grandchildren, Daniel Peters and Joscelyn Peters. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Troudt and 2 brothers, Tom Troudt and Calvin Troudt.
A funeral service to celebrate Roger's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007 at the St. Paul's Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue . Visitation will be from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the church. Private family inurnment will be held on Tuesday at the Linn Grove Cemetery.
