Obituary

Roger Leroy Tuma, 66 of Evans, Colorado died on Friday, May 7, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center. He was born July 07, 1943 in Crawford, Nebraska to Beulah Belle (Dolly- Fisher)Tuma and Jack Tuma. He married Anne Pennington in Fort Collins, Colorado on January 06, 1993. Roger started school in Hemmingford, Nebraska. His family moved a lot to find work, so he attended many schools in his early life. The last school he attended was in Fort Lupton where he quit school to help support the family. On October 10, 1960 he entered the Army, where he completed his G.E.D. and became a sergeant in the Engineers Corp. He served in Korea for 13 months, and in Germany for three years. He was honorably discharged after serving seven years. He was a carpenter most of his life and worked in the home repair field. He was very good with his hands and had many talents. Roger enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the Moose Lodge, and held a true passion for fishing. He is survived by his wife, Anne and his three children, Angela Hayes Berlien, Shaun Hayes, and Roger Tuma Jr.; grandchildren, Amanda Berlien - Perrigo, Allison Berlien, Andrea Berlien, Alica Hayes, Shanna Hayes, Michael Tuma, Cody Tuma, Shay Tuma, Brittany Smith, Avery Smith and Mikal Smith, brothers and sisters, Jackie Lee Tuma of Texas, Rick Eugene Tuma of Oregon; half-brothers, Stanley Arthur Dorsey, Alan Coe Dorsey. His stepfather Arthur Lyle(Shorty) Dorsey, as well as blessed friends and former co-workers in the Greeley area. Roger is preceeded in death by his parents, Jack and Beulah Tuma; his siblings, Linda Lou Hern, Lonnie Rae Tuma and Judy Kay Davis and his daughter, Elizabeth Lucille Tuma Smith.
