Roland Hinojosa, “Romulo” 87, of Greeley, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado
He was born March 30, 1929 to Francisco & Lucy (Moralez) Hinojosa in Laredo, Texas. He married Mary Dorothy Martinez in Greeley, Colorado. He was born in Texas, but spent most of his life in the Greeley area. He worked at Robison Grain Elevator before hiring on with Meadow Gold Dairy on April 15, 1955. He retired in 1991 after 36 years of service. He loved cheering on the Broncos. He had a green thumb and always had a beautiful lawn and roses. He loved growing tomatoes for his granddaughters.
Survivors include his son, R. Joseph Hinojosa, of Evergreen, daughters, Marjorie (Lon) Keatley of Louisville and Janis Hinojosa, of Greeley, sisters, Suzy (Eutimeo) Sanchez, Dominga (Lucio) Morado, Beatrice (Demencio) Lira, Mary Crocker, Lily Loucks, Geneva (Frank) Alvarado and Alice (Victor) Fuentes all of Greeley, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, a sister, Juanita Ealacios, a brother, Rudy Hinojosa, and granddaughter, Tiffany Dvorak, brothers-in-law, Donald Crocker and Charles Loucks.
A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans.
