Ronald Gene Unruh, was born October 13, 1952 in McPherson, Kansas to Clayton and Jennie Unruh. On the evening of November 12th, 2015, surrounded by family, Ron entered into heaven while at the hospice unit of North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. He was 63 years old. Ron had a reoccurrence of cancer which he had been diagnosed with in 1991. He was diagnosed again in 2013. Ron was deeply loved and respected by his family and friends. Ron was dedicated to his family, his church, and his work. He enjoyed being involved with people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Ron was a man of God who had received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He attended Victory Christian Fellowship with his family where he served on the board and in men’s, children’s, and bus ministry. He was a shining light to all he was around and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Ron spent the last nine years of his life in Greeley, Colorado where he was an owner operator. Previously he lived in Deerfield, Kansas where he farmed for several years before working at the Deerfield school system as the bus and maintenance supervisor. Ron enjoyed spending time outdoors, he enjoyed watching sunrises, and he enjoyed reading many books, the Bible being his favorite. He also enjoyed sports and was a KU Jayhawk fan. He loved God, his family, and his friends and was thankful for his life here on earth. His faith, dedication, and compassionate spirit will be remembered by all those who knew him. He will always be remembered and cherished by his family and church family who know he is in heaven celebrating victory. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandchild. Ron is survived by his wife, Gina Unruh of Greeley, Colorado. Three brother: Gerald and Roberta Unruh of Dalhart, Texas; Larry and Darla Unruh of Hartley, Texas; and LeRoy Unruh of Lakin, Kansas. Two sisters: Marlys and Lyvon Esau of Montezuma, Kansas; and Flora Martin of Ulysses, Kansas. Five children: Lance and Jackie Unruh of Deerfield, Kansas; Brock Unruh of Liberal. Kansas; Jeremy and Cari Unruh of San Jose, California; Samantha Unruh of Garden City, Kansas; and Timothy Unruh of Greeley, Colorado. Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Victory Christian Fellowship, 6101 West 10th Street in Greeley.
