Ruby “Guadalupe” Diana Guerrero, 81 of Greeley passed away on Friday, August 19th, 2016 at the Fairacres Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on October 25th, 1934 in Loveland, Colorado to Henry and Teresa (Gutierrez) Hernandez. She graduated from Loveland High School and later married Pedro “Pete” Guerrero on July 6th, 1959 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley.
Ruby worked for Brian McGill tying fishing flies and later Samsonite Luggage Company until she quit her jobs to focus on her calling, which was raising her four children.
Mrs. Guerrero was a member of both Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church. She loved spending time at family gatherings and traveling with both family and friends, collecting dolls and taking strolls around the park.
Survivors include her husband Pete Guerrero of Greeley; 2 sons, Mark Guerrero and wife Stacy, Ray Guerrero and wife Gina all of Greeley; 2 daughters, Donna Alaniz and husband Tony of Greeley, Deborah Gomez and husband Fred of Windsor; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Teresa Hernandez, a grandson, Isaac Rodriguez, a daughter in law, Jill who was with child, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Services begin with a visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Recitation of Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 915 12th Street in Greeley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 25th, 2016 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
