Ruby Evelyn Richardson, 75, of Greeley, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at her home.

She was born September 19, 1945 to Shelly Lee & Ruby Evelyn (Lambert) Thompson in Colorado. On October 14, 1962, she married Ronald M. Richardson in Commerce City, Colorado.

Ruby worked as a nurse for Hospice of Northern Colorado for 10 years and later became an EMT in Weld County. She also worked in the family business, Richardson Companies for 40 plus years. She was a founding member of the Greeley Stampede Riders and rode with them for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Richardson of Greeley, sons, Russell M. Richardson of Prairie Hill, Missouri, and Ronald Lee Richardson of Kersey, Colorado, brothers, Donald Thompson of Arizona, Mickey Thompson of California, Marvin Thompson of Commerce City, Colorado, and Vernon Thompson of Denver, Colorado, sisters, JoAnn Gunn of Oklahoma, Linda Newman of Craig, Colorado and Theresa Walsh of Commerce City, Colorado, 6 grandchildren, David Richardson Brandon Richardson, Alex Richardson, Rachel Richardson, John Richardson, and Amanda Richardson, and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelly & Ruby Thompson, a brother, Virgil Thompson and a sister, Doris Elliot.

Visitation will be 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 also at the funeral home. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
