Rudy Milliano Montanez, 67, of LaSalle, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at North Colorado Medical Center.

He was born October 19, 1957, in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Manuel M. and Plasida G. (Gabaldon) Montanez. For 34 years, Rudy was a dedicated Wastewater Engineer for the City of Greeley and at the City of Longmont. In 1984, he married Vickie Ann Henson. He loved to fish, make people laugh, watch the Denver Broncos. He was truly a devoted husband and father.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Vickie Montanez of LaSalle, a son, Ryan Montanez also of LaSalle, a daughter, Monique (Jeramiah) Droessler of Longmont, Colorado, brothers, Leo (Rosie) Montanez of La Junta, Colorado, Raymond (Dorothy) Montanez of Rocky Ford, Colorado, and Martin Martinez of Greeley, Colorado, sisters, Trinidad Arnaud of Louisiana, Linda (Henry) Martinez of Greeley, Colorado, 3 grandchildren, Brycen, Nija and Aziah, and 1 great grandchild, Oplien.

He was preceded by his parents, Manuel and Plasida Montanez, a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Mary Montanez, a son, Dale Thomsen and a nephew, John Arnaud.

A celebration of Rudy's life will be held on 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado.
