Rudy Nevell Todd passed from his earthly home in La Salle, CO on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Rudy was born May 4, 1934, in Valentine, NE to Charles and Eva Todd. Rudy grew up in Benkelman, NE with his parents and 5 siblings, where he enjoyed fishing with the family, hunting with his brothers, and playing sports.

Upon graduating high school, Rudy entered the Army and served 1 ½ years in Japan. After returning from the military, Rudy served as a police officer for Brush Police Dept. for 3 ½ years. Rudy spent the next 30 years working for the State of Colorado Port of Entry. Rudy married the love of his life, Janet, on May 28, 1978.

After retirement, he and Janet, made the best memories together traveling across all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico and attending sporting events for all their grand and great-grandchildren.

Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eva; Siblings: Rex (Eunadell) Todd, Duaine (Bonnie) Todd, Joyce (Ralph) Maddox, Jewel (Johnny) Hill; brother-in-law Larry Brown.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife Janet, sister Vondalee Brown, and brother-in-law John Miller; Children: Rena (Rick Reynolds) Todd, Mark (Linda) Todd, Tony (Kim) Asbury, Anita (Scott) Walker, and Angela (Dennis) Cochran; Grandchildren: Ashley (Daniel) Newman, Michelle (Jeremy) Moles, Ryan (Katie) Frank, Katelyn Wilson, Brittany (Jeff) Micke, Jenna Horner, Brandon (Tori) Frank, Kyle Horner, Rodney (Nicole) Asbury, Brandon Horner, Hope Asbury, and Danielle (Cohen) Mohrmann; Great-Grandchildren: Kaleb & Morgan Stahl, Christian & Emma Mohrmann, Parker & Kennedy Moles, Autumn Wilson, Liam & Rylee Micke, Brooklynn & Bennett Frank, Faith Asbury, and Weston Frank.
He is also survived by beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 225 S. 6th Street in La Salle, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shephard of the Valley Lutheran Church.
