Ruth (Ruthie) Nelle Chamblin Simpson Wulf
Ruthie was born January 13, 1931, on the family farm northeast of Fort Lupton, Colorado where she spent most of her life. She attended Porter School through eighth grade and later graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1949.
On March 26, 1949, she married Gene Allen Simpson in LaSalle, Colorado. In 1974 they moved to Platteville where they owned and operated Front Range Village Mobile Home Park until 1992. Gene passed away on April 6, 2002, at their home in Platteville.
On April 11, 2003, Ruthie married Marion (Bud) D. Wulf in Longmont, Colorado. They shared a love of travel in their RV, spending several winters in the Arizona desert Bud passed away on November 19, 2020, in Longmont.
As a young girl, Ruthie helped a neighbor serve sandwiches and coffee to German POW's. She later worked at Fort Lupton Produce and Wright & McGill/Eagle Claw in Greeley, where she assembled fishing rods.
A devoted homemaker, Ruthie was known for her warm hospitality. She always had a fresh pot of coffee brewing, and no one ever left her table hungry. She and Gene enjoyed family camping trips in the Colorado Rockies. She also shared a love of travel with Bud in their RV, spending several winters in the Arizona desert. She was a member of Fort Lupton United Methodist Church and Front Range Christian Fellowship Church in Longmont.
She cherished time with her family and friends, who lovingly called her Grammy or Aunt Ruthie. She had a way of making everyone feel special and was often told that her home was filled with love.
Ruthie celebrated her 94th birthday surrounded by loved ones. She passed away peacefully at home, embraced by family.
She is survived by her children: Kathleen J. Callow, Kenneth (Rita) Simpson and Karen (Donnie) Hunter, her grandchildren: Bobi (Frank Davis) Kabela, Mandi (Jason) Rogers, Shelby Gallegos, Holly (Dan) Gaskill, Tony (Shelby Florio) Callow, Rebecca (Tom) Kennedy and Sheila Wulf, her great-grandchildren: Tyler and Hayden Rogers, John, Marisha, and Jaiden Gallegos, Kendra and Jordan Sanford, Owen and Zoe Gaskill, Pepper Callow and William Kennedy, her great-great-grandchildren: Ramona Shurtz and Lakoda Sanford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde T. Chamblin and Frances (Esther) Kinder Chamblin, her sisters: Edna E. Payne and Marjorie (June) Burris Farley, her spouses: Gene A. Simpson and Marion (Bud) D. Wulf.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on February 28, 2025, also at the Moser Chapel.
Interment at Mizpah Cemetery 12837 CR 32 in Platteville immediately following the funeral services

Ruthie's legacy of love, kindness, and hospitality will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
