Ruth Ann Cupps, 83, of Greeley, passed away on July 8, 2019 at Northern Colorado Medical Center, in Greeley.

She was born July 2, 1936, in Barnet, Vermont to Henry and Maude (Hoppecker) Bailey. She graduated high school in Barnet with the class of 1954 and later attended cosmetology school. On February 14, 1974 Ruth was married to Roy Clay Cupps in Texas. After her husband passed away in 1976, she moved to Greeley, Colorado where she has resided since.

Early on, Ruth was employed by IBM, Olan Mills and MCI and later became a member of the Erie Colorado police force before she took on the role of homemaker.

Ruth loved spending time with her family, reading books and was always baking delicious goods.

Survivors include her 5 children, sons, Daren Kruise of Georgia, Darrel Kruise of Firestone, Colorado, Kevin (Donna) Kruise of Callahan, Florida; daughters, Carla (Shane) Fuller of Douglas, Wyoming and Michelle (RW) Stewart of Texas, 11 grandchildren, Natasha Kruise, Dusty Kruise, Casey Kruise, Matthew Kruise, Bradley Kruise, Derrick (Shay) Edwards, Branden Parker, Riley Parker, Brady Joe Hooper, Bailey Mitchell Wilson, and 1 great grandchild, Kairi Kyomi Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at Parish Park in Johnstown.
