Ryan Matthew Pickett, 17 of Eaton, passed away on January 18, 2015 as a result of an accident.

He was born December 8, 1997 in Greeley to Matthew and Heather (Vance) Pickett. Ryan was a junior at Eaton High School where he was a member of FBLA and a trumpet player in the Eaton High School Band. He was employed by Heritage Market as a grocery bagger and often joked about being the best bagger they had.

Ryan enjoyed being outdoors fishing or shooting his shot gun and rifle. He loved driving and working on his truck, where he spent countless hours and many dollars making it his own. He loved animals and was very proud of his two 125 gallon fish tanks. He also was involved in the Boy Scouts and was only 2 merit badges away from becoming an Eagle Scout. He loved country music and was a true Tennessee Volunteer’s fan. Ryan was a member of the Eaton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Matthew & Heather Pickett of Eaton, a brother, Luke Pickett, his grandparents, Ken & Mary Vance, of Eaton, his great grandmothers; Evelyn Reid of Aurora and Lorraine Bayer of Eaton, and many aunts, uncles & cousins. He is preceded by his grandparents, Stan & Dianna Pickett.

A celebration of Ryan’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street.
