Samuel Francis Nolz, born February 16, 1980, passed away August 8, 2018 at home, while working in the yard he took great pride in.

Sam was an excellent athlete. While attending Roosevelt High School, Sam won four awards in football and participated in wrestling. He also played baseball and was a successful pitcher, hitting several home runs.

Sam loved family, fishing, and enjoyed camping. He worked construction his last few years.

He is survived by his father, Dennis (Linda) Nolz, his mother, Vonn Burnett and husband Sean, a sister, Sara Nolz, a step-brother, David Sinden, his nephews, Isac and Jacob Gary and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, mostly from South Dakota.

A celebration of Sam’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 917 10th Avenue in Greeley.
