Sandra Kaye (Carpenter) Baltazar passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado surrounded by people who loved her.

Sandi was born on February 16, 1951, in Kearney, Nebraska to Thelma and Dewey Carpenter. She was later adopted by Durah and Albert Roos and lived in Gibbon, Nebraska. In 1969, Sandi graduated from Gibbon High School.

She married Nick Baltazar on October 4, 1974, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They lived on a farm south of Wiggins, Colorado where they farmed and raised their boys.

Sandi worked as a dietician at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan, Colorado. In the late 1990's she started working in the bakery at Walmart in Greeley, Colorado. Sandi held various job titles while working at Walmart, earning awards and special recognitions. She was eventually asked to start up and manage the Cafe at Sam's Club in Greeley, Colorado. While employed at Sam's Club, she set many rules and guidelines for how the Cafe would be managed and maintained, which later became the standard for Sam's Clubs across the country.

Sandi is survived by her husband of almost 48 years Nick Baltazar; her son's Robert, Shannon, and Jason; her stepdaughter Anna; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

A Life Celebration will be scheduled in June.
