Sara Vela, 74 of Aurora formerly of Greeley, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at University Hospital.

She was born April 22, 1944 to John & Lucy (Padilla) Vela in Greeley, Colorado. Sara was in the medical field for 40 years. She loved taking care of people. She was an angel. She loved her job and loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved her children and all family. She prayed for everyone and if you needed prayer, she prayed for you. She will be sadly missed and not forgotten. She has walked the walk and talked the talk. Until we meet again, you are with Jesus forever.

Survivors include sons, John, Jimmy, and David Mascarenas, a brother Mike Vela, and a sister Jenny M. Breaux, and 3 grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, her brothers, John Vela, John Chavez, and Pete Vasquez, and sisters, Lucy Vela, Mary Velasquez, and Elvera Baladez.
