Sharla Rae Gambrell, 77 of Greeley, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Greeley Place.

She was born September 23, 1941 to Theodore & Marjorie (Van Lopic) Smith in La Junta, Colorado. In 1957, she married William C. Gambrell in La Junta. She worked as a realtor for several years, but her latest career was working as a travel agent which enabled her to travel the world. Since childhood she was an avid golfer. She also enjoyed playing bridge and working in her garden.

She is survived by her son, Darin Van Gambrell of Greeley, her daughter, Jana Lynn (Mark) Fetcenko of Kersey, her brother, Kirk Smith of Colorado Springs, a grandson, Josh (Bobbi) Wells of Greeley, and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore & Marge Smith, a brother, Van Smith, and a sister, Jana Lynn King.

A celebration of Sharla’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Bogey’s Pub & Grille, 2200 Clubhouse Drive, in Greeley. Private inurnment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
