Shirley Lynn Thompson, 76, of Kersey, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

She was born October 6, 1947, in Great Falls, Montana to Ernest R. and Lorraine Marjorie (Gillis) Stoos. Shirley married Richard Lloyd Thompson on August 6, 1966, in Wheatridge, Colorado.
They moved to Kersey in 1984.

Shirley worked from home as a childcare provider and had her own baking business. She was a member of Resurrection Fellowship and enjoyed being by water, whether it was a pool or a lake. She spent time traveling, baking, and loving her cats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Kevin) Hudson and Wendy (Larry) Tekler, her brothers, Dan (Kathy) Stoos, and Ernie (Laura) Stoos, her sisters, Sharon Maes, Lorraine (Michael) Prochownik, and Pamela (Bill) Richardson Davenport, her grandchildren, Rachelle (Collin) Harper and Kerry Hudson, and great grandcat, Flopsy Harper.

She was preceded by her parents, Ernie & Lorraine Stoos, her son, Donald Thompson, a brother, Rowan Stoos, a sister, Shelley Ivarson and a brother-in-law, Dan Ivarson.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Thompson home in Kersey.
