Shirley Joyce Wyatt, 82, of Greeley, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at her home.

She was born August 21, 1941, to Louie A. and Hazel I. (Dennerline) Ellyas. in Leadville, Colorado. Shirley picked out her husband, George, on their Pueblo school bus, later married and raised 5 daughters. She kept the busy household running while pursuing passions such as teaching Sunday School, quilting, embroidery, puzzles, trips to Hawaii, and caring for her grandchildren. She was always available to listen to her children and grandchildren, and to give Godly advice. Shirley and George were married for 54 years until his death in 2012. As a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, she is now with Him in heaven.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Cherie, Rhonda, Peggy, Susan, and Kay, 9 grandchildren: Ronnie Yamada & wife Jessica, Kari Quezada & husband Andres, Kyle & Micah Yamada, Bailey Reiber & Justin Waterman, Paige & Gloria Wright, Ryan & Ashlyn Deck, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, Louie and Hazel Ellyas, and her beloved husband, George Wyatt.
