ShirleyJo Conda, 66, of Platteville, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at her home. She was born on September 4, 1940 in Kit Carson, Colorado to Robert A. and Josephine (Wilkins) Buchanan. ShirleyJo graduated from Boulder High School in 1959. She later married Wesley N. Conda on February 14, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Boulder, Colorado. The couple lived in Marshall, Colorado before moving to Lafayette, Colorado where they lived for 10 years before moving to Platteville in 2003. Mrs. Conda was a homemaker who loved sewing, crocheting and crafts. She also enjoyed helping her 5 boys with their 4-H projects including working with the horses and making all of their uniforms. During her working life she worked for the A& W and the Twin Burger drive-in and later Ona's Drapery in Boulder. Survivors include her husband, Wes Conda of Platteville; 5 sons, Wesley Conda Jr. of Brighton, Dennis Conda, Jerry Conda and Troy Conda all of Platteville and Mike Conda of Longmont; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 brothers, Jack Buchanan of California, Harry Buchanan of Thornton, Colorado and John LaNite of Westminster, Colorado. A memorial service to celebrate ShirleyJo's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Cremation.
