Obituary

Stacey Jean (Askvig) James, 46, was born on November 12, 1979, in Greeley, Colorado to Rick Askvig and Jamie (Smith) Askvig and passed away on her birthday, 2025.

She attended Greeley schools and graduated from Greeley West High School in 1998. In 2004 she married Tre James, and they had three children, Pierce, Livee, and Ryker, as well as a daughter, Bella, who they lost during pregnancy. Her kids were her pride and joy; she considered them her biggest accomplishment and she loved them deeply. Their marriage ended in 2019. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being a part of social gatherings, playing cards, and listening to music and dancing.

As described by her kids (Livee) she was beautiful, a goofball, very sarcastic, sometimes she was unfiltered and it was hilarious. She made really good food. She was very caring. She was a hippie at heart. She was selfless. She was really good at keeping a clean home and taking care of her family. She loved her pets. She had a lot of fun doing spa nights and nails and hair and all things girly with me. She would've done anything under the sun for us kids. (Pierce) In her purest form she was selfless, beautiful, a true mother. She would do anything for her kids. (Ryker) She was the best mom ever.

She is survived by her children, Pierce, Livee, and Ryker James; parents, Jamie Askvig and Rick (Denise) Askvig; sister, Jessica (Kevin) Reid; grandma, Joann Smith; several nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; many longtime friends; and her neighbors, John and Denise Armour, who became her very dear friends.
