Stephen Badial, Sr., of Greeley, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed.

Stephen was born in Gill, Colorado to John T. and Margaret (Juarez) Badial on December 26, 1933. He married Jenny (Vasquez) Rodriguez on April 28, 1956 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Greeley. He retired after 40 years in the meat processing industry at Monfort of Colorado.

His family described him as an outgoing, fun loving, strong-willed and devoted husband and father. He enjoyed camping, riding ATVs, and spending time with his family and four-legged companion Kingsley.

Stephen is survived by his children: Annette Badial of Pueblo, Colorado; Stephen Badial, Jr. and wife Sherrie of Greeley, Colorado; four grandchildren: Jennifer Badial of Pueblo, Colorado; Kristopher (Triinu) Guzman of Denver, Colorado; Staci Badial of Greeley, Colorado; Sharla (Martin) Liscano of Evans, Colorado. He also has 14 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, sister-in-law Nellie Houchens, and brother-in-law Archie Ruibal.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, his sister, Mary Ann Ruibal, and a great grandson, Jonah Liscano.

A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Recitation of Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29th, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1325 3rd Street in Greeley.

Memorial donations may be made out to Stephen Badial, Jr. in care of Moser Funeral and Cremation Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620. The family will decide where to contribute to in memory of Stephen at a later date.
