Obituary

Stephen "Steve" E. Strausheim was born on April 1, 1951 and went to rest in peace on September 2, 2009. He was married to Gail L. Gray of Greeley, CO on March 30, 2001. He has lived in Evans, CO for the last 9 years. Steve graduated form Northglenn High School and then earned his degree from Denver Automotive School. In his early years he enjoyed drag racing with his brother, Jerry. He spent the majority of his career in retail and sales management. He achieved record success during his 13 years at Coast to Coast. He culminated his career with nine years at Home Depot, where he formed many lasting friendships. Steve was a kind, sincere and gentle man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. He had a strong work ethic and shared his vast knowledge with others. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and drag racing. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and gardening. Steve also enjoyed wood working projects that he shared with his wife. Steve is survived by his wife, Gail Strausheim of Evans, CO, his father, Elmer Strausheim of Thornton, CO, his sisters, Sue Strausheim of Longmont, CO, and Alberta Writebol of Denver CO, his brother, Jerry Strausheim of Thornton, CO, his daughter, Brandy Bidwell and her husband, Steve of Parker CO, his daughter, Cindy Rogers and her husband, Don of Lochbuie, CO, his step-children, Jennifer Cruz and husband, BJ of Greeley, CO, Courtney Somer and husband, Brad of Greeley, CO, Lindsey Rocha and Toby Lopez of Greeley, CO, and Adam Rocha of Evans, CO. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Kelsee, Nicole, Morgan, and Joshua, 10 step-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and his longtime friend, Bob Griffis. He is now at peace with his mother, Nancy A. Strausheim. A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
