With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Bill Decker, on August 20th, 2023, after his brave and unwavering battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 71 years old.

Steven, fondly known by many as "Bill", was born in Grand County and while he lived most of his days in Colorado, he was a nomad at heart. He felt and passed down an innate sense of wanderlust, which led him to seek adventure around the globe. He was most at peace in the quiet solitude of nature, particularly in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, and loved to hike, fish, and rockhound.

Steven's creative mind and engineering spirit provided an unparalleled skill set that made him a true master tradesman. He was generous with his time and his talents.

Steven faced life's challenges with remarkable strength and inspirational courage. Throughout his journey, he showed us the power of resilience and optimism in the face of adversity. His legacy lives on in the memories we hold close, the lessons he taught us about living life on your own terms, and the practice of finding joy in unexpected things.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lois Decker. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Sheaman (Todd) and Andreah Decker Morrissey (Mike); his sister Mary Sue Rivale (JC); his partner Lori Keller and her children (Meagan Noble (Josh), Kelly Kozisek (Brandi), Joseph Keller (Megan Hamer) and Maximillian Keller); his grandchildren Holly Meissner and Norah Morrissey; his step-grandchildren Ashley Sheaman and David Sheaman. Steven is also survived by his daughters' mother, Linda Decker, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

We invite those who had the privilege of knowing Steven to share their memories and photographs on his memorial page. May these shared moments of joy, laughter, and love serve as a celebration of Steven's remarkable life, and as a testament to the indelible mark he has left on us all.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 2-5:00 p.m. at the Pelican Resort & Golf, 1620 Pelican Lakes Point, in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, suggested donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, Pathways hospice of Fort Collins, and the Red Cross Hawaii wildfire relief.
