Steven Schlotthauer, 66, of Eaton, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Born on January 30, 1960, in Greeley, Colorado, Steven was the son of Randolph L. and Judith L. (Buckendorf) Schlotthauer. A lifelong resident of Eaton, he graduated from Eaton High School and remained deeply connected to the community he loved.

Following graduation, Steven fulfilled his dream of owning a restaurant, opening Steven’s Grill, where he proudly served family, friends, and neighbors for more than 41 years. Through his dedication and hard work, he became a familiar and cherished part of the Eaton community.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Lauren; his stepson, Todd; and his beloved grandson, Eli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Judy Schlotthauer.

A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at a later date.
